2 months since we at Y·US Ventures launched Bridgit: Your social life, settled. Two months packed with fun, lessons learned, and captured opportunities.
What we understood is that for us as a team, the consumer social app's strongest layer is the B2B and B2B2C. Not because it is how consumer social apps work, but because that's where our expertise, intuition and strategy is the strongest.
Here are some of our activities during first few weeks: - Morning coffee shop parties in Hollywood - Rick Feds sunset set (often called the best fingerdrummer in the world) - Social coffee mornings in Silicon Valley - Exhibiting at Startup Grind among top 100 start-ups - Onboarding businesses in Venice LA and West Hollywood - A major partnership in San Francisco (more on that soon) - B2B events at NY and Boston TECH WEEK by a16z - Finalist in the hashtag#NYTechWeek flagship startup competition by Firecrawl and Venture Miner
Along that, we built what we promised our partners for a major campaign, improved the AI matching, UX & UI, scaled the team, and worked through some turbulence with early hires.
The lessons? Stay agile. Take it easy. Keep the core.
You can pivot how your product goes to market. We did. But you can't pivot who your team is. Ours is best at building B2B and B2B2C ecosystems. So we decided to test out what we are best at.
